In a rapidly changing world, middle-aged drag queen Fanny Scat is down to her last weekly gig at a seedy, inner-city backpacker bar. Things go from bad to worse when a serial bum bag thief drives away customers and bar manager Nat has no choice but to cancel the show for good.

Seeing no other option, Fanny is ready to hang up her heels, but her loyal drag sisters Mariana Trench and Patchy Lite-Drizzle family refuse to let that happen. Instead, they encourage her to use her busy-body skills and reputation as a local celebrity to catch the thief herself and get her job back. At first, it seems like an impossible task - until she meets Hassan Quereshi, a cultured Pakistani taxi driver who becomes the Watson to her Holm driver who becomes the Watson to her Holmes.
